"Sports Physicals For Sports Inequities"

First off I want to acknowledge these dope individuals for coming together and doing something truly special. This is truly a quality event. I thought we were getting a bunch of students in med school. NO! We have actual licensed NURSES and DOCTORS conducting physicals at our event. Truly an all star staff!

When I was in school, I remember a few REALLY GOOD ball players that just never went out for the team. When I used to ask them about it, they would just blame it on "politics" or some other dumb excuse.

A lot of us may not have know this, but Omaha Public Schools REQUIRES their student athletes to have updated physicals prior to participation, AS THEY SHOULD, to avoid potential injury or harm. Let that sink for a minue.

How many people do you know *without* healthcare? Do you know anyone who does not have a primary care physician? Anyone who does not see their health care provider regularly?

How do these students ever become "student athletes?" Maybe all those kids in high school would have played ball if they would have had HoopRank Communities ❤️
