We recently tackled a challenging deck replacement for a client whose original builder-grade structure was showing its age—warped boards, unstable framing, and safety concerns that made it unusable. We demolished it, then crafted a robust 20x22 cedar deck from scratch. Cedar was the ideal choice here for its natural resistance to rot and insects, while the white cable railings provide a modern, low-maintenance barrier that maximizes views without obstructing sightlines. We also incorporated a seamless landing to improve accessibility and flow from the home.
