Learn about food forests with me on my farm on Sunday October 12 in this hands-on workshop. In a food forest , or forest garden, we create intentional ecological systems that are designed to mirror our native ecosystems but with useful plants to provide for human needs in our backyards. Plants are selected for their ecological functions as well which helps to decrease the work and maximize relationship. This class will discuss how to start a food forest and how to retrofit an existing orchard.
