I have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of this kid, when we went to do our first AI early last fall, and the whole goblet of straws fell to the bottom of the liquid nitrogen tank. Liquid nitrogen is extremely cold🥶(-320°F), so we had to get another tank to transfer all the other straws into, in order to recover our lost straws. By the time we accomplished that task, it was December and breeding season is usually wrapped by that time for us. I decided I had one chance to try for an AI, it worked!

Carina tends to have bucklings, so when I ultrasounded her and only saw a single, I was REALLY hoping for a doeling. Carina’s due date came around and she just wasn’t filling her udder, also she was coming up on day 150, which isn’t unheard of but hasn’t been the norm for her or the rest of the herd, so I was nervous something might be wrong. All the worry was for nothing though…she had a beautiful doeling, I triple checked to make sure!🎀

🌟Latest milk test numbers. Cayenne and Blonde tied for 1st with 7.1 lbs! Scarlett was not far behind with 6.9.🌟
