Lunchtime

The world is a rough place for empaths. We see and feel other's pain and struggle, most often we absorb those emotions ourselves and experience that pain on a deep level. It is extremely difficult to not to see the hurt others are experiencing, and feeling helpless that we are unable to alleviate that pain, sorrow and cruelty others inflict on our fellow human beings. Seeing a homeless woman on the street today, dirty and disheveled, crossing the street in pouring rain clutching in her arms a precious little Chihuahua wrapped in soaked blankets, relying on her for his own survival. How can you not be moved by that?
