My relationship with golf has gone through a bit of a transformation: from elementary school introductions, middle school flirtations, high school love-hate in training and competition, and a college break up - during which time I graduated from Baylor University and further earned a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Northern Arizona University. Exhausted.

Some days it may be dehydration. But usually it's just I'm tired! And I can be tired and weak or tired with some muscles.

I can't guarantee these drills will hype you up, but at least your lower body will have a head start to feeling more ready for your squat.

Or at least you can work on tramsforming your mind from being TIRED to being a TITAN!

First attempt at golf OOTD.

Sometimes I don't know what the heck I want to wear to practice or play. And it can be even more of a struggle if you're going to a new place and aren't sure what the dress code is (check online or call, some places don't allow jeans or uncollared shirts).

My biggest golf fit priority is comfort, then function, then style. And please don't ask what my style is, cuz I'll probably say Functional Comfort. 😅

Clothes gotta allow movement, show MINIMAL sweat, cover both b***y cheeks, and have at least 2 pockets. And cuz I'm advancing in years, a nice pair of compression socks feel good. 🫠

What do y'all wear to golf stuff? Prefer shorts > shorts? Ankle socks > knee highs? Short sleeve > sleeveless?

Looking for Yards?

Powerful and strong legs, chest, and core are all needed to generate force to the golf ball. Especially vertical power against the earth - it starts with legs pushing against the ground, it's then converted into rotational power through the core, and then output through the chest/shoulders, arms and hands. The more force you can generate through the legs, the more torque you can create to get your hands and clubhead whipping quickly around you.

If you want more yardage, move some weight.

Grocery stores are dangerous.

Lol! Not really, but my knee started acting a fool on our last grocery haul. My hip had been bothering me a little bit that week, too.

Now, I haven't been as consistent in the gym as I would care to admit, and I tell you what, my knee and hip told me to get my act together.

Putting in more reps on the range has definitely put more demand on my lead leg (left side for me), so these exercises truly helped me feel more stable AND mobile.
