She has always been good at listening and helping others, and after taking her first psychology course in college, she knew she had found her life’s purpose and never looked back. Jené utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in her practice as her tried and true approach. In addition she also uses Solution Focused Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. She loves engaging and building a therapeutic alliance with her clients and is humbled and honored to provide a safe, non-judgmental space for them to share their experiences, their traumas and their journey. Jené’s favorite part of being a counselor is seeing the growth and change in people’s mindset and behaviors, to see hope blossom within them, and their core beliefs changing for the better. She considers herself to be trustworthy and engaging and works towards providing hope in situations which seem hopeless. Outside of work, Jené is an avid reader, a singer an ASL interpreter, a chocolate and coffee lover, and a mother of 4 beautiful children.
