Self love is still so hard for me. Even after YEARS of inner work, and tons of new tools in my self care box, I still need daily accountability.

Most recently I’ve realized the harsh reality is that when I move into stress and too much on my plate I resort to old coping mechanisms or old trauma patterns. It feels sooo strange to admit that I would RE-traumatize myself but I’m learning…

…we do what we know.

In order to heal and unlearn old habits, we first must accept and see what is. Without judgment or the need to fix. Old habits are just that - OLD. They don’t define me. A dear friend reminded me of that after a long session of sharing. Which brings me to my next thought.🤔

So my advice when negative things about yourself come in your head and you are struggling to get out of that cycle? BE VULNERABLE. Be willing to share the dark stuff. Be willing to be wrong, to look like a blubbering emotional wreck, be willing to ask for help however humbling that may be.💓

Happy weekend, everyone!

Half moon was one of the harder balancing poses for me to grasp, but once I did I felt like a TOTAL bad a$$ and gode$$. When I first tried it I had no idea what I looked like doing it - but as time went on I kept getting compliments from my teachers or other students in the class randomly, which was so surprising but VERY encouraging. It always feels good to have a "harder" pose that works with your body well.

It’s still one of my favorites, and yes I do still feel like a bada$$ and gode$$. 😎
