On election night Anson Williams hosted a gathering for campaign supporters and friends in the Foothill Drive area of Ojai and the Ojai Valley News checked in just prior to the first returns being released.

Mayor Betsy Stix declined to be interviewed on election night.

"Even if we lose, we win" said Williams. He said a lot of people are paying attention as a result of the mayoral race and he said who ever is elected to council will be held accountable.

Betsy Stix: 48.35% of the vote with 862 votes.

Anson Williams: 51.65% of the vote with 921 votes.
