Meet Crossroads: Matthew Dahlin.

Matt has been working with adolescents and their families since 2007 and has been part of the Crossroads story almost from the beginning. While earning his psychology degree at Weber State University, he worked as a direct-care counselor at Crossroads before going on to earn his Master’s in Clinical Social Work from Brigham Young University.

After gaining experience in outpatient treatment, residential care, and school-based programs, Matt returned to Crossroads, where he now serves as Clinical Director.

Matt is passionate about helping teens recognize their potential and believes that lasting change begins with strong relationships, trust, and the confidence to make healthier choices. He also believes some of the most meaningful therapeutic moments happen outside the traditional office—whether that’s on a trail, traveling, or participating in adventure-based activities alongside the students.

Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters, and you’ll often find him golfing, mountain biking, wake surfing, snowboarding, or taking on his next endurance challenge.

Lessons happen behind a boat, on a surfboard, or getting back up after wipe out.
