Our new book display, “Hope Binds,” showcases varied perspectives and stories that enrich our collective knowledge. The library has spent the past several years working to broaden the voices represented in our collection, with these books demonstrating this effort. Librarian Rudine Sims Bishop described books as mirrors, windows, and sliding glass doors—reflecting our experiences, offering new insights, and inviting us into new worlds. This display embodies our hope that any book can serve these functions. The library’s mission is to advance knowledge, foster a sense of belonging and community, and support the success of all our students.
