Last week, I had the honor of joining the Orlando 50501 Advocacy Guild, which I co-lead, in Washington, D.C. We met with members of Congress to present two pieces of legislation written by .e.lewis : the AAACT Mandate and the PATH Act. These bills aim to abolish ICE and create an efficient, dignified, and humane pathway to citizenship.

We’re excited to hear back from the offices we visited and continue our conversations on what comes next. Along with our scheduled meetings, we left materials with several other members of Congress so they can learn more about AAACT. Our hearts are in this work, and we can’t wait to follow up and help move this legislation forward.
