“What’s next?” 🧡

For many young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, aging out of the school system at 22 can feel overwhelming for both students and families.

That’s why we love sharing TLC as a meaningful potential next step for Hillcrest students as they transition into adulthood.

Some of our current members are Hillcrest alumni themselves. TLC is more than just a place.. it’s somewhere they can continue building friendships, independence, life skills, vocational experiences, and community involvement long after graduation.

We loved welcoming Hillcrest students to TLC and showing them what’s possible for their next chapter ✨

One of TLC’s vocational programs is our Computer Recycling Program, where members gain hands-on experience by safely disassembling computers, sorting materials, and participating in the recycling process.♻️

This program helps build vocational, motor, and teamwork skills while giving members the opportunity to see the direct impact of their work from start to finish.

Thank you to ICR for partnering with TLC by providing recyclable computer materials and donating back to our organization through the recycling process. This helps us continue to create meaningful opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities right here in our community.
