The SSD and Windows 10 combo makes this machine FLY compared to one with a mechanical drive! Also, this machine has the capability of holding TWO hard drives, so with an upgrade caddy/kit you can add a huge mechanical drive for storage (best of both worlds, speed and storage) PS - this is an upgrade you would buy on eBay etc!
This laptop was used mainly on a desk - so it doesn't have too much of the 'usage' that some other laptops do. There is a ding above the add in card slot - but that doesn't effect using it at all. The DVD drive was used to install Windows, so I know it reads disks fine - I haven't tested it for recording. Also, the battery works (the pictures were taken while on battery) - but I have not tested the length of time that the battery holds charge - so there are no guarantees on time for the battery.
