A vehicle collision on SW 33rd Avenue and SW 34th Street resulted in a rollover that left two entrapped.

At approximately 5:36 p.m., Ocala Fire Rescue units were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision with rollover. Engine 4, Rescue 4, Squad 7, Battalion Chief 11, and a Safety Officer responded.

Crews arrived to find a sedan with moderate front-end damage and a compact SUV on its side. The driver of the sedan was ambulatory. The driver and passenger of the SUV required extrication.

Using Squad 7 as an anchor, crews stabilized the SUV and made entry through the trunk to assess the patients. Once patients’ needs were identified, crews removed the sunroof and extricated the patients.

Both SUV occupants were transported to the hospital for evaluation.

The Ocala Police Department and Marion County Fire Rescue also responded.
