BRUSH LETTERING WITH REGGIE
In my year long course these are the letterforms I teach my students, as well as a creative and simple way to use them in a layout. I find that they are far less intimidating than the Trajan capitals, much more user-friendly and very practical for introduction to the broad edge brush.

Zentangling Pumpkins
Presented by Janice Shigehara

Learn how to Zentangle a pumpkin. The materials are few and the results can be stunning. Janice has provided a few Zentangle patterns to get started but you can use other patterns as well. The pumpkins can be used in a variety of settings—as a centerpiece along with seasonal squashes and nuts, on the fireplace grouped together or singly to adorn a nightstand or end table. The Zentangle process used on pumpkins can be addicting so you may find yourself making them for gifts as well.  You will also learn how to incorporate lettering on leaves and some decorating ideas for Halloween.

The October meetup, like all of our monthly meetups, will be a hybrid event, available both in-person at the Chelsea Art Center and online via Zoom. Members have received an email with the Zoom link and supply list. Non-members can request the Zoom link by sending an email to [email protected].
