We open the summer at home with Fight at the Fortress right here in town (more details coming soon).

Next up, we head to Lemont on 6/20 for Firehouse 7s.

After a short break, the qualifier series wraps up in St. Louis on 7/11 for Gateway 7s.

The road to Nationals then comes down to the Midwest Finals in Elkhart on 7/25.

Our final award of the year is our Players Player 🏆

This award is voted on by the players themselves. It recognizes not only the top performer on the pitch, but the man who truly represents the Valley both on and off the field.

This year’s winner is LJ Murray.

A lot can be said about LJ as a player. He is always ready to lay it on the line for his teammates and battle for 80 minutes. As a prop, that’s no small task. Week in and week out, he sets the tone physically and mentally. For a long time now, LJ has been one of the top players not just for us, but across the Midwest.

But what makes this award so fitting goes beyond his performance in the scrum.

LJ’s growth into a youth and high school coach has made a massive impact. He’s pouring back into the game, passing on his knowledge, connecting players to the club, and opening doors for opportunities that help them grow. He’s become a driving force in the continued growth of rugby in Columbus and a true ambassador for the Valley.
