NeuRx Diaphragm Pacing System first received FDA approval for use in Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) patients. Dr. Ray Onders, co-founder and developer of the technology recognized the benefits for ALS patients. In 2011, the FDA approved, under a Humanitarian Device Exemption (HDE) the use of the NeuRx DPS
