R.I.P. ROB BASE
The Hip Hop song “It Takes Two” is a core memory for me. It was one of the songs my older brother would recite word for word. Probably one of the first rap songs I knew by heart as a kid. When working on my song “Beg Ya Pardon”, I remember listening to the Hanover and over and saying “This needs that classic screw adlib from It Takes Two!”. This is the importance of Hip Hop history, paying homage to those who have come before you. You paved a road Rob, were just tryna walk on it. Rest In Power. Thank you.
