us, as their baby boy had noisy reputation. Soon, all of Oakland would know the sound of Stomper. Endlessly curious, Stomper would routinely escape the Zoo, wanting to stretch his legs and explore his city. It wasn’t long until he found his favorite summer spot, the Oakland Coliseum. Stanley was always fond of the Oakland A’s and apparently the peanut had not fallen far from the tree. Night after night, Stomper would slip through the gates and stomp his way to the left field bleachers to see his childhood heroes. Finally, Stanley and Stella had given in and Stomper got to fulfill his dream of a lifetime, to be the official mascot of the Oakland A’s. No more long trips from the Oakland Zoo, he had a new home at the Oakland Coliseum. Now 20 years later, you can see Stomper cheering on his Oakland A’s, gobbling peanuts from the bleachers, and hanging out in the Stomper Fun Zone all season long.
