The festival host the widest spectrum of the Black Comic Book art of its kind attracting residents and visitors to come to Oakland and experience an array of free and modestly priced attendee tickets, workshops, exhibitions, and activities in a variety of venues. In addition to this AFCC will host its annual International Film Festival, where the film competition will be held online. AFCC programming has implemented the same opportunities for learning, how to craft stories through digital instruction, and literacy skills provided to participants learning how to tell their stories. This year’s theme within Afro-futurism focuses on the use of Animation, Cartooning, and other visual art forms to express their vision of an Afro-futuristic world, where we are incorporating an imaginary idea of storytelling aspect as a part of our goals to help preserve stories
