Surgery update: I'll be back Tuesday, February 3rd!

Monday marked 2 weeks since my procedure, and Tuesday was my second follow up. I didn't post an update last week because I was honestly too darn tired. My procedure went, according to my surgeon, 'about as good as it could have gone', which means *very* well. I am cleared to return to work, albeit with restrictions, next week!

What does this mean for work? There are two important changes for the next month:

- I recently acquired a new compression system that pairs well with manual therapy. Compression is a great tool for lymphatic drainage, blood circulation, and muscle recovery. Source: https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/treatments/23449-compression-therapy

- I have to temporarily discontinue deep tissue work for another month. I am still able to provide circulatory massage, cupping, hot stone, trigger point, and craniosacral therapies.

I am happy to discuss the specifics of my surgery in-person, but for now I just want to thank everyone who reached out. Your well wishes are super appreciated!

Compression Therapy: Types and Benefits Compression therapy includes socks and wraps that provide gentle pressure to your lower legs, ankles and feet. They improve blood flow and reduce pain and swelling.

I am out of the office for a medical procedure January 12, 2026 for at least three weeks. I am happy to answer questions after I return to work.
