September is Su***de Prevention Awareness Month, a topic that hits close to home for us. Mental health issues have plagued my family ever since I was a kid. My father committed su***de a month before my 10th birthday which left a hole in our family that we never fully recovered from.

Many of you know how meaningful horticultural therapy has been for me and Yumi, plants are one of the few things that help me find solace in life and its hardships--whether it's indoor or outdoor gardening, engaging with plants gets me excited for each day and it's an honor to share them with you.

Thankfully there are many various forms of healing: through art, crafting, music and movement (just to name a few)! So we're partnering with and and awesome local artists and makers to bring you "Growing with Community," a FREE community healing event with hands-on workshops, community resources, fun raffles, music, nourishing food and beverages, and a few plants🌿

We also have an incredibly special surprise that we'll be announcing just before the event! 

We hope you can join us in building community where we can grow and heal together 💙
