1)To engage young people directly in the important role of philanthropy in the community.
2)To involve young people as critical decision makers in the process of allocating financial support to nonprofit
and public organizations serving youth.
3)To provide opportunities for participants to research and evaluate the impact of their decision making on
solving youth problems in the community.
4)To provide an active learning experience of doing for others that enhances young people’s perception of
success.
