Henna is the art of temporary tattooing. Performed at celebrations, specifically weddings. The bride is adorned with the most beautiful designs on her hands and feet. We explored Pakistani Mehndi designs and had our students practice with pencil before finalizing their art.

We traveled through Japan and learned about Shibori, an ancient Japanese shaped-resist dyeing technique that involves folding, twisting, bunching, or stitching fabric before dyeing it. For our lesson we focused on folding fabric into a triangle. Check out these striking results!
