Integrated Functional Performance - Jeff Powell
You don't need another treatment.
You need to know why you keep ending up right back where you started.
The biggest cost of stubborn disc or nerve pain isn't always the pain itself.
It's what the pain quietly takes from your life.
-I see people stop taking vacations because they're afraid they'll flare up.
-I see people put off training that could move their career forward because they can't trust their body.
-I see parents and grandparents hesitate before visiting the people they love most.
-I see people slowly withdraw from friends because they don't want to cancel plans again.
-I see marriages strained because pain is exhausting, even when you're trying not to let it show.
Then comes the part that breaks my heart.
People start believing this is just how life is going to be.
The problem is that most people have never been shown what recovery actually looks like.
They judge recovery by today's pain level.
I measure recovery differently.
I teach The 4 Phases of a Complete Recovery.
→ Acute.
You're just trying to get through the day.
→ Critical.
You feel a little better.
Then the symptoms return.
You start wondering if you'll ever get ahead.
→ Functional.
Your confidence starts coming back.
You stop thinking about your symptoms every waking minute.
You start thinking about your future again.
→ Specialized.
You trust your body.
You explore.
You travel.
You take on challenges because you're excited, not because you're trying to prove something.
Recovery is not about surviving with less pain.
Recovery is about getting your life back.
If you're reading this and recognizing yourself, don't settle for measuring success by whether today is a "good pain day."
Start asking a better question.
"What phase am I in, and what needs to happen to move forward?"
That's the conversation that changes everything.
I created a guide that teaches all about The 4 Phases of a Complete Recovery. If you'd find that helpful at all, I'd love to get it to you!
If you want it, either message me w the word, "Phases", or just drop it here as a comment. I'll get it to you asap. 🙂

Congratulations, Reina. ❤️
Every once in a while, a message arrives that reminds me why I love what I do.
Recently, Reina shared that since working together around the COVID years, she has not experienced the debilitating nerve pain that once affected her daily life.
Think about that for a moment.
Years have passed.
Years.
When people are dealing with nerve pain, they are not just thinking about pain.
They are thinking about the walks they miss.
The trips they postpone.
The hobbies they give up.
The moments with family that become harder to enjoy.
That is why Reina's message meant so much to me.
Not because she remembered me.
Because she is still enjoying the benefits years later.
There is something special about seeing someone get back to living their life and continue living it long after the struggle has faded into the background.
Reina, thank you for sharing your experience.
And congratulations on all the years of freedom, movement, and life that followed. 💖
