Walking workshop this Tuesday 10/22 from 5:30-7pm at Recovery Through Movement, 220 E. State St. Unit 1-H in O'Fallon. We will explore the various phases of the gait (walking) cycle and what the skeletal connections are for each of these phases. We will also review some of the common errors in walking and present movement cues that guide you toward a more biomechanically sound version of your gait, leading to easier, more efficient, more comfortable walking.
Topics for this week's Awareness Through Movement classes:
Monday July 15th10 am: Legs crossed and expanding chest and abdomen. An easy lesson to free the chest, torso and spine.
Wednesday July 17at 10 am : Lifting the head by reaching with the arms.
A lesson that explores how to engage the trunk to free the neck through the use of the arms. A little more "strenuous" than other lessons, good for those who like to move big!
