Earlier this month Melissa and I had a great evening attending the Novi Educational Foundation Gala, which featured a fun ’80s theme this year.

It was a great night to support an organization that does so much for our teachers, schools, and students.

Had a great night at the Novi Community School District State of the District on Wednesday. The future looks bright, and we’re so lucky to have Superintendent Ben Mainka and such a committed staff guiding our schools.

Last month’s Mayor’s Youth Forum was a great turnout—thank you to all the teens who came out and shared your perspectives. Council recently approved shifting from a traditional Youth Council to a less formal Youth Council format, and the change made for a really open and productive conversation. Thanks as well to Novi’s creative communications team for the sweet swag that attendees picked up along the way. Looking forward to seeing even more of our youngest residents at the next forum on April 30!
