Do you remember your favorite wedding gift?
Mine - a Christmas Tree Skirt with 6 blanks.
It started in 2006 with just Denny and I's name sewn in the middle Then in 2011, we added another name. Then again in 2012, 2013 and 2015. Those 4 blanks were a foreshadow for our 4 kids.
As each child joined our family, their names added to the skirt.
16 years later and that skirt is still here! 6 names surround our tree every holiday season. That skirt reminds us of where we were and where we are and for me it's impactful.
Where do you fall in the impactful gift giver?
Are you a registry type of person? Or do you go sentimental? Ever wanted to go grander?
What if YOU could give the start of financial freedom? What if YOU could give a gift that would last 20,30, even 40+ years? Would you leap?
With Embracing Your Means' new packaging - the goal is just that! As we celebrate college graduation and wedding season - re-think your gift!
With pricing on point, YOU have the chance to give that MOST impact present. The GREATEST gift a young person or couple can receive - learning early with understanding how to BUDGET their finances.
LIFE CHANGING! DON"T BE A BORING GIFT GIVER!
And 100 days in One Dress is Done! February 1st to May 11.
WOW! This challenge was informative on so many levels.
Here are my 5 take a ways:
1. Wool is great! It really is a 4 season material.
2. Never going back to Fast Fashion. Too much money going down
the drain for clothes that do not last.
3. A Capsule wardrobe is amazing - this challenge saw me donate 4
boxes of clothes! Down to less than 40 pieces of clothing. (Future
post about my experience with Thred Up).
4. We own too much - we don't need as much as we have. There is a
peace of mind with limited clothing options.
5. Saved money on not purchasing much in my 100 days. I didn't need
anything else. And that was a goal in itself.
Below is a snip it of my 100 days! If you are interested in your attempt and wanting more info, reach out! It might be a great fit, if you find yourself spending TOO Much on an already OVERSTUFFED closet.

It is okay to take a pause!
I did. I stepped away from social media for a few months and....
IT FELT GREAT.
At first there was guilt, then acceptance and then the best part -
I FLOURISHED!
Giving yourself the gift of time is a gift like no other. Time you don't get back - so you better grab it while you can.
So what have I been doing?? Are you ready? Woot, Woot!
Besides getting my household through COVID, focusing on current clients - I have been getting my website up and running with some amazing new packages! Seriously, they are AMAZING! Stay tuned for a future post on the WHY.
This post goes out to all the PEOPLE out there who need to know it is okay to pause! Breathe, regroup and enjoy the time in front of you. We are all incredible and cheers to you!

I am reminded all the time how much we spend on fast fashion. That bargain rack calls us in with colorful signs, an opportunity to purchase multiple things instead of just the one thing we needed.
The excess stuff weighs us down because if we only need 1 shirt, buying 5 now has cluttered up our options. Even if our budget hasn't derailed - our mind has to work harder to choose each day.
I am guilty too! Hence this post, hence this challenge!
For years, I have wanted to get down to a capsule wardrobe. The ability to see all I own on a single closet rod. So when a few weeks ago I was introduced to a challenge that could help me reach that type of minimalism - I knew I was in!
Have you heard of the through wooland?
The challenge is to wear the same wool dress for a 100 days. You can accessorize, layer and fancy up this dress how ever you see fit, but the dress needs to be worn everyday for at least 8 hours (and yes you can wash it).
I committed to Ms. Tulip, but there are multiple dress styles to choose from. She is giving me all the great feels to really go through and prioritize my closet. I adore this dress - its comfort and style really have me purging the things that just don't feel as good.
When we start to live with less we find the extra room in our house and our mind for the things that really bring us joy.
Who wants to declutter with me?
My challenge dates: February 1 - May 12th.
I will be posting all my 100 day outfits over on Instagram at Feel free to follow along.

In 2022 let’s open the door to the dreams we put on hold.
Sometimes we need to take a pause in order to get organized, manage life events and re-group. That doesn’t mean our dreams dissolve. It means we store them away for awhile.
As for me, 2020 had me taking some of my goals and dreams off that shelf. And 2022 has the potential to really live a reality I wanted since I was 23.
My biggest dream - to become a full time traveler. To see the world not just in quick trips but to become part of the environment.
What are your goals for the new year? Don’t be afraid to look at the one that challenges you the most. You might be surprised what you are capable of.
If you need help getting your dreams back in the forefront- reach out to Embracing Your Means! The last few years have shown all of us how quickly life can change.
