NRRA was founded in 1986 by Ralph E. Sloan, formerNorwalk Superintendent of Schools; Dr. Norman J. Weinberger, a Norwalk pediatrician, and a few local residents. Our initial goals were modest: to provide rowing opportunities for adult and youth athletes and to develop a competitive high school program.
