Hidden behind bustling streets, lines of tourists, frazzled locals and the buzz of summer mine and Mr. Three Roots inadvertent pilgrimage has unfolded.

Communicating in broken Spanish translated into Italian we have been greeted by the warmest community of clergy and religious who graciously and happily share with us the pride of their spiritual homes.

4th c. structures tucked away in the maze of Milan.

18th c. paintings towering over nearly silent side altars.

13th c. tropics gilding daily use churches.

The spiritual abundance of this country is not lost on me and the deep and immersive peace of these spaces daily impress upon my soul. Gazing on tender images of our Blessed Mother and continually asking her to carry myself and those I know and love to Christ has become a daily marker of this trip.

To put into words all the little moments of share spiritual joy we have experienced would be too numerous to recount. Instead I share with you all the immersive joy of being amongst those who too yearn for The Lord and allow themselves to be lost in His wonderful mystery.
