I use high-tech tools and the latest research, but the most important part of teaching for me is to have students feel successful each week in their lesson. My studio is small so that I can focus lots of individual attention on each student. I trained at Northwestern University, and have been teaching since high school.

I’ve been listening to Paul McCartney since this concert Saturday night. To hear the great music he’s written and sung over the years, and see photos from his lifetime, was amazing.

Cute gift from a student!
I often see that it doesn’t hurt to wait to start a beginner in lessons. This young lady is in 4th, and did a great job with metric counting tonight.

Finishing a three-week sub gig - great to make music with members of the congregation!
There were actually two students completing their challenge today. This beginner is a ray of sunshine!

This determined student achieved 40 pieces at the last lesson of the semester today. She has made incredible progress with the help of her family. She was very excited!
