However, alot of vintage crystal was made with lead, including glassware and dishes which I do not recommend eating off of. It is believed that the amount of lead that leaches into the beverage your drinking is much less than the amount consumed on a daily basis with a ordinary diet, despite that I still prefer home decor use only.

lead + uranium was once popular in glassware thankfully now we know the risk it poses to our health.

Next time your looking for a fancy decanter to make your moon water at the thrift or just some pretty vintage glasses, give them a flick and you'll hear if its true crystal or just glass.
