We’re pretty damn excited about all of the artists coming to collider!FEST this year — but you’ve gotta start somewhere, so lets start with the very first notes of music we’ll hear — the one and only Brad Barr (of the BARR BROTHERS and The Slip) kicks off the fest on Friday night with the only genuinely sit-down set of the weekend.

Things will get wild and weird later, but first we have a single guitarist on stage to focus our collective energies and activate our listening centers. The Montreal-based artist is best known for his improvisational and compositional work, spanning three decades, with the avant-rock band The Slip and the experimental folk group The Barr Brothers.

(Brad is also teaching a guitar workshop on Saturday morning)
