🌞 Parents in the Park Update 🌞

With temperatures expected to climb above 90°F on Thursday, we want everyone to put safety first. Extreme heat can be especially dangerous for babies and young children.

We know that many families have already decided to stay home this week, and we completely understand and support that decision.

If you were planning to still to go with older children, there is a splash pad at the park where they can cool off and have some fun. If you do attend, please be sure to bring plenty of water, use sunscreen, seek shade whenever possible, and watch for signs of overheating.

Your family's health and safety always come first. We'll look forward to seeing everyone at a future Parents in the Park when the weather is a little more comfortable!

Parents in the Park (formerly Parent Cafe) will be held at Funway Park in Tewksbury. Join us from 10:00–11:30 AM.

This park has a new splash pad. Please consider the age of your baby when heading out to the heat. It may be too hot for some.

Funway Park in Tewksbury, MA, is a large, family-friendly recreational area featuring a fenced-in playground with structures for various ages, a giant sandbox with toys, and a new splash pad (opened June 2024). The park also includes sports facilities like basketball and tennis courts, baseball/soccer fields, a skate park, and a covered pavilion with picnic tables, making it a versatile spot for outdoor activities, with amenities like paved paths and porta-potty restrooms.

Playground Features:
Fenced-in area: Keeps toddlers contained.

Structures: Climbing obstacles, slides, and swings for different age groups, including some ADA-compliant features.

Sandbox: A large sandbox filled with toys like trucks, shovels, and buckets.

Yentile Farm Recreational Facility in Wilmington, MA, is a popular, multi-use park featuring a nature-inspired playground, synthetic turf athletic fields, basketball courts, walking trails, and picnic areas with a pavilion. It's designed for all ages, with separate play areas for toddlers and older kids, and includes amenities like restrooms and a concession stand, making it a hub for family recreation and community events.

Good news! We have removed all age restrictions, so babies, toddlers, and young children of all ages are welcome. Walkers are definitely welcome!
