Tara, Whit, and Kait have been in business since 2015 when they opened Royal + Reese with strictly kids clothes. Tara came up with the idea that they should start a kids clothing brand. Seeing that none of them could sew, outsourcing the production was the first step. On May 2, 2015 Royal + Reese opened as an online retailer and began out of Tara's dining room.
