Mulberry School

As we kick off summer, we're hard at work revitalizing our State of Illinois acknowledged Schoolyard Habitat Site — home to our bee, butterfly, and bird garden out in front of the school!

We've been busy planting beautiful native pollinator plants and bulbs while tackling some of the pesky weeds and volunteer plants that have been trying to take over. With the help of an experienced gardener, we're creating a designated walking path through the garden to help protect our plants while still allowing visitors to enjoy this special space.

The pathway will also provide warm, sunny spots for butterflies and other pollinators to bask while they visit our garden. 🦋

To help bring this project to life, we're looking for bricks, pavers, or landscape edging of any kind. Do you have extras sitting around that you'd like to part with? Would you be willing to donate materials toward parent hours or as a generous donation to Mulberry School? We'd love to put them to good use!
