We were so honored to have Matthew Tribley able to speak at this great event!

We’re excited to welcome Matthew Tribley to Sunrise Rotary this Tuesday morning for what promises to be an engaging and inspiring discussion.

Matthew will be speaking about Outdoor Veterans, the nonprofit organization he founded to support veterans and first responders through wellness retreats, outdoor experiences, and opportunities for healing, fellowship, and personal growth.

A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, Matthew served five years in the Marine Corps, attaining the rank of Sergeant while protecting critical nuclear assets and serving as an infantryman. Today, he continues his commitment to service as a Police Officer and Field Training Officer with the Bloomington Police Department, where he is recognized for his leadership and mentorship of new officers.

Inspired by the healing power of the outdoors, Matthew founded Outdoor Veterans after recognizing the positive impact that hunting, fishing, and time spent in nature can have on mental wellness and recovery. What began as a dream in 2018 became a fully recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in 2022. Despite challenges along the way, the mission remained unchanged: serving those who have sacrificed in service to others.

Outdoor Veterans believes the challenge, peace, and camaraderie found in hunting, fishing, and the outdoors can provide meaningful support for veterans and first responders as they navigate personal struggles and seek renewed purpose. Through outdoor activities, mentorship, and shared experiences, the organization helps participants build resilience, strengthen relationships, and discover a new mission in life. Their motto says it best: “No Hero Walks Alone.”
