Gloria Steinem's vision, courage, and advocacy inspired generations to imagine a more equitable future.
In her book Revolution from Within: A Book of Self-Esteem, Steinem encouraged us to see self-esteem not as selfishness, but as the foundation for building stronger communities and creating meaningful change. She believed that lasting progress begins when people recognize their own worth and help others recognize theirs.
As we reflect on her legacy, we are reminded of her words:
"The first problem for all of us, men and women, is not to learn, but to unlearn."
May we continue working together to create positive change in our community and beyond.

Some conversations leave you feeling energized about what is possible.
Meeting Christian Mitchell and reconnecting with Joshua Crockett reminded me that real leadership is about service, vision, and heart.
They bring fresh ideas, fresh viewpoints, and a deep commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.
Today was a reminder that hope is not just a feeling. It is people who show up, work hard, and believe our communities can be even stronger than they are today.
Here's to leaders who inspire us to believe in what's possible and work together to create it. ✨💙
Special thanks to Governor Pritzker for inspiring change and continuing to fight for McLean County.

Every generation has a responsibility to protect the rights that make our democracy work.
As we prepare for Saturday's rally, we invite you to join Normal NOW and community members from across Bloomington-Normal in support of protecting voting rights. These rights are not guaranteed, and preserving them takes awareness, advocacy, and action.
Come learn more about what is happening, why it matters, and what you can do to help make a difference.
Together, our voices are powerful. Together, our community is stronger.
