Join UW-Milwaukee’s sailing team to travel the country, make lifelong friends and spend time on the water. We race against teams from universities in the Big Ten to the Ivy League. The Milwaukee Sailboat Racing Club practices twice a week and travels to regattas around the nation on the weekends. We had a great time this past weekend competing at MCSA co-ed qualifiers in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Thanks to University of Michigan Sailing Team for hosting a great regatta & big congratulations to the MCSA teams heading to nationals!

And so it begins. Milwaukee sailors are on their way out for the start of 2018 College Sailing Nationals! With Parker Trepton and Brett Hutchinson sailing A fleet, and Jack Behrend and Susie Voltz sailing B fleet. Wish them luck as they sail in the most competitive college sailing fleet in the nation! This past weekend, the Panthers competed in Madison, WI for a spot at the ISCA national championship in Norfolk, Virginia this upcoming May. After a rough start to the weekend and going into the second day of racing one spot out of the qualifying position, the panthers pulled away with a berth! Top five in the regatta qualify for the championship and the Panthers took fourth! Stay tuned once again for some more nationals updates!

After two hot days on the water and a current that had most of us confused, Milwaukee takes 16th in the Eastern division semifinals. However, we are all proud of being here to be considered one of the top 36 college sailing teams in the nation.
