📐 Truss Rigging Diagram & Load Balancing Setup – 100’ Steel Truss Lift

Not all lifts are as simple as “1-2-3.” Here’s a look behind the scenes at the engineered planning and physical layout of a foolproof lifting system designed to safely hoist 100’ steel trusses in one piece.

🔧 Setup Overview:
• BLACK: 20’ adjustable spreader bar
• RED: (2) 16’ endless loop slings pinned to the spreader bar and connected to crane ball
• PURPLE: (2) 8’ endless loop slings shacked to the spreader bar
• RED (lower): 2-ton sn**ch block pulleys hooked to purple slings with locking hooks
• BLUE: (2) 3/8” x 20’ wire rope eye-to-eye slings routed through sn**ch blocks
• YELLOW: (4) 2” x 6’ flat slings choked onto the truss at four points for even load distribution

📊 Load Balancing Notes:
• Geometry: ~26.93 ft calculated sling length needed per side
• Actual Rigging Length: ~30 ft per side (accounting for full sling layout and choke loss)
• Auto-balancing: Sn**ch blocks allow the blue wire rope to self-equalize under load
• Result: Rig stays level throughout lift assuming truss is symmetrically loaded

This layout ensures safety, stability, and simplicity during complex picks. It’s a model of how pre-planned, field-tested rigging can make even a massive 100’ truss lift clean, level, and efficient.
