Meet Greg Plumedahl — the friendly face you'll find greeting golfers on the first tee at The Pines and The Preserve. ⛳

Now in his fifth season at Grand View Lodge, Greg starts his days before sunrise, prepping the course so everything's ready when guests arrive. But ask him what he loves most about the job, and it's not the early mornings or the perfectly raked bunkers — it's the people. "The best part of the day is the interaction," he says.

Greg's made such an impression on repeat guests that they remember him by name, year after year. It's that kind of personal touch that makes a round of golf at Grand View Lodge feel like more than just a tee time.

We had such an amazing trip to Grand View Lodge thanks to GVL Thrive and INDY. Everything was perfect, from the beautiful cabin to swimming at the pool and nights by the fire. We wound up our weekend with dinner at Char. Incredible service and the best steaks we’ve had in years.

Icing on the cake was the fact that it was Mothers Day and my son's birthday. Char surprised him with a slice of dessert with a sparkly candle in it. Time with family is so precious and even more so after a cancer diagnosis. I can’t thank you enough.
