Fireworks can be fun for people, but they can be very stressful for our furry friends. Many pets experience anxiety, fear, and panic during holiday celebrations.

🐾 If your pet has needed sedation or anti-anxiety medication for fireworks in the past, now is the time to plan ahead!

Please contact Bluegrass Veterinary Clinic before the 4th of July to request and pick up any medications your pet may need. Waiting until the last minute may result in delays, and we want to make sure your pet is comfortable and safe during the holiday.

💙 Tips for helping pets during fireworks:
• Keep pets indoors in a secure area
• Make sure ID tags and microchip information are current
• Provide a quiet, comfortable space
• Turn on a TV, fan, or music to help mask outside noises
