Expanding ways to help our Citizens!

Coweta County is launching a new telehealth option through its 911 system that could allow some non-emergency callers to speak directly with a physician instead of automatically being transported to the ER.

Officials say the program is designed to reduce unnecessary ambulance trips, shorten ER wait times and keep emergency units available for true emergencies.

The service launches this summer and will still allow residents to request an ambulance at any time.
