This was not our original install.

We were brought in after the homeowner experienced major drainage issues during the first heavy rain.

At first glance, the yard looked finished. But once the rain came, it revealed a much bigger problem. The drainage was not properly executed, the grading was not moving water the way it should, and the yard was left with major standing water.

This is why the work underneath matters just as much as the finished look.

Drainage, grading, and proper planning may not be the “pretty” part of a backyard, but they are what determine whether the space actually functions long term.

Our plan is to correct the grading, rework the drainage, and rebuild the space with function in mind so the finished yard doesn’t just look good, it holds up when it matters most.

One thing we’ve learned over the years is that not every backyard transformation happens all at once — and honestly, it doesn’t need to.
