At Gidney Avenue Memorial School in Newburgh, Gardener Thea built a new compost barrel for the garden which will replace the compost pile behind her, and keep the garden neat and tidy. After tasting food from the garden, children can put their uneaten portions into the compost barrel. Kids love turning the barrel!
