, a four or six-week summer enrichment program, financial aid service, counseling, and college tours and cultural trips. Upward Bound serves high school students from low-income families, high school students from families in which neither parent holds a bachelor's degree, and first-generation military veterans preparing to enter post secondary education. Upward Bound provides intensive academic preparation for courses such as Mathematics, English Composition, Biological and Physical Sciences, a foreign language, and Counseling. UB students also participate in educational field trips, workshops and career seminars. The six-week summer enrichment program includes a rigorous daily course load and a residential portion.
