Hey folks, we got a call to action here. Our buddy here at the mall, Jeff, is facing a major health struggle and needs a little help. If you could give him a hand on his GoFundMe it'd really help out. Thank you.

Here we go again. Facebook might be the most dangerous social media site for your device at this point, as this scam ad came up in one of the groups I frequent. As you can see, it looks like a post by a group member.
Clicking on it takes you to a second screen where your browser is attacked. Chrome caught this one, but you never can tell. So stay safe out there...

Well, this might just become a regular thing.
Okay folks, just like last time, we're gonna give you a heads up about what the scammers on Facebook are trying to do. Last time it was an ads scam, but now, if you sell on Marketplace, they'll try to send you to a fake FB in order to steal your login.
The URL makes it obvious, the layout's pretty basic, but just in case, let's all keep an eye out.

Hey folks, a quick heads up.
We've noticed a lot of ads lately that look like the picture below. They look legit, are all for different sites, and there are hundreds of them. For the purposes of warning you about these scam sites, we've clicked and captured what you'll see if you follow their link.
If you open something like this and see the extremely suspect page that follows, don't panic. Just close it. It doesn't seem to have any negative effects, no malware attacks, etc. That's just the bait.
Obviously, though, if you were to call the phone number, an operator, somewhere in the far east, would immediately start pumping you for money. If it's the same organization I'm thinking of, they'll try to get you to go to a BitCoin ATM, like the one here in the Indian Mound Mall, and send them $25,000 in untraceable crypto coin to "save" your PC.
So be safe out there, and don't fall for scams.
