The Newark Educational Foundation (NEF) is dedicated to enriching the academic experience for our students. Come hear about upcoming initiatives, share your ideas, and find out how you can get involved in making a difference in our schools.

SOLD OUT! 🚀 Our NMHS Imagineers Club recently hosted 50 curious 1st-5th graders for a day of hands-on STEAM exploration—and it was a massive success!

What makes this event more special? These high schoolers did it all. From the initial marketing to the final cleanup, the Imagineers planned and executed the entire camp with incredible independence.

Highlights of the day included: 🌱 Building custom terrariums ⛵ Engineering boats for a high-stakes race 🧪 Mastering the perfect slime recipe

This event was made possible by a Newark Educational Foundation STEAM Grant, co-authored by the club and Mr. Goldsmith. We are so proud to invest in student leaders who are already giving back to the next generation of Newark innovators!

​As the calendar turns, we are looking back with pride and forward with purpose. Because of your incredible support in 2025, we were able to provide vital resources, grants, and programs that directly impacted the students and teachers of the Newark Unified School District.

​Whether it’s through supporting the arts, expanding STEM initiatives, or providing classroom grants that bring big ideas to life, we are committed to ensuring every student in Newark has the tools they need to succeed.
