Hawkins Perry Studios

Hi. everyone! Fairly decent day so far. Sunny when we got up and has turned into a cloudy day but the forecast high is to be 68 degrees according to my friend Google. Art and I plan on spending some time in the studio as Art is feeling his way through learning how to work with pastels and Irma is working on a portrait of a friend. I hope it is dry enough to finish today.. We both wish everyone a happy outcome for this fall day!

"The Guadalupe River" in Yelapa, Jalisco, Mx. My son Larry lived there several years and I took a photo of this scene to paint while on a hike.This river doesn't have much water in it until high tide from the Pacific, so it was quite dry. There were several places where they had made some walkways to get over deeper water to get to wherever...their home , maybe? Lovely place! I miss going there to visit. I hope you like it!

Hi folks! Doing very well for an ancient Gr-Grandma, just at a slower pace. Started a portrait for a friend in Finland but can't work on it quite yet....too wet. But this will go quicker as it is only 11"X14" oil on canvas. Wish me luck.

Finally finished with my latest painting. Had a hard time with my camera getting it adjusted to take a good photo. Probably time to purchase a new one. Everything is getting old here in my house, including me! I hope you enjoy it. Glad to be back to work!
